F.A.Q

Read below for information on our Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Hollywood and Brazilian?

Hollywood is everything off and Brazilian is where we leave a strip at the front. We charge the same price for either.

Will any of your waxing treatments hurt?

We can’t say our waxing treatments are completely painless; however it’s not as bad as you think it is. Due to my experience and training, I can ensure you the most comfortable experience. The pain, if any, will only last for a couple of seconds. You can take paracetamol prior to your treatment if it is your first one and you are worried, it’s your choice. Once you have had a couple of treatments, it becomes near enough pain less as the hair comes back finer and patchy.

How long does my hair have to be?

The hair needs to be about 0.5 mm long, which is similar to a grain of rice, so on average you should leave your hair to grow for at least 2 weeks.

How often will I need to have my waxing done?

We recommend for the best results to come back every 4 weeks. After you have been having your waxing for a while you will notice that you will not need to have it done as often. We would then recommend to come back every 4-6 weeks.

What wax do you use for intimate areas?

We use a great quality hot wax on the bikini area. We also use hot wax on underarms and the face.

Can I have my wax if I am pregnant?

Yes, you certainly can.

What is the aftercare for your waxing treatments?

Please follow the correct aftercare advice for the next 24 hours after your treatment.

Things to consider after your waxing treatment as part of your aftercare

It is normal to immediately experience redness or a prickly heat type of rash on the area. The redness, if any, should go down within a couple of hours. Below we have listed things which we feel will help once you’ve left. * Avoid a hot shower or bath * Avoid putting on any perfumed products on the area that has been waxed * Avoid any heat treatments or going swimming * Avoid going to the gym and exercising * Avoid touching the area to ensure it is kept bacteria free * Wear clean/ loose fitting clothes   We recommend after 2/3 days after your wax you exfoliate and moisturise the area 2/3 times a week. This will prevent any ingrowing hairs and dry skin.   If you have any questions that are not listed above, please don’t hesitate to contact me and ask!
